MATTHEW ARNDT FOR CONGRESS

About Me

Matthew Arndt

Along with nine siblings, I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I’m a CPA and a business owner. I run a tax and investment advisory firm, and I work directly with business owners and families every day.

I’m a Wisconsinite running for Congress as a Green Party candidate, focused on restoring accountability in government and advancing policies that serve working Americans and my fellow Cheeseheads—not special interests.

I’ve seen how this system actually works—not how it’s talked about and glorified in free market fantasies. Costs keep rising, rules keep getting more complex, and the people with the most access keep failing upward. Everyone else is expected to figure it out on their own.

My dad was a construction worker and my mom a nurse. In our house, accountability wasn’t optional—and it didn’t come with a safety net. I grew up around people who had to get it right—because there was no one coming to save them. That’s still true for most Americans. It should be true at the top too.

When corporations and billionaires fail, they get bailed out with your tax dollars. When you fail, you lose everything and it’s called personal failure. When Wall Street f*cks up and crashes the economy, we bail them out. Everyone else is told to work harder and you’re on your own. It’s corporate welfare and socialism for billionaires – the crooked Wall Street bankers are always first in line – and it’s rugged capitalism for the rest of us.

I’m not a politician. I’m running because I’m tired of watching the same people benefit from a system that doesn’t work for most Americans. It’s time to change that.
